Ambassador Spotlight
Penny became acquainted with Lake Mary Life magazine when now associate editor Samantha Taylor brought her son Joey to parenting classes Penny was teaching. An immediate bond was formed. “I loved the publication from the start and working with the staff has been a joy for my family and me,” Penny says. She came on board four years ago as an account representative and, as she says, “I have been having the time of my life.” One of ten children raised in the shadows of the George Washington Bridge, Penny knew she had to speak for herself if she really wanted something. She has brought this drive to her work at Lake Mary Life. She spends her days telling people about the magazine that she is so proud to represent and helping her clients make the most with their advertising dollars. “Every day I hear people tell me how much they love our publication, and how much it has helped get their advertising message out, and that it’s the only one they read,” Penny says. “This fuels me – and is probably why our publisher Sheila Kramer calls me the Energizer Bunny – I just can’t stop telling people about Lake Mary Life.” Penny can always be found attending the social and networking events for both the Sanford and the Seminole County Chambers of Commerce and she serves as an ambassador for the Sanford Chamber. She was recently honored to be selected as Ambassador of the Year for the Sanford Chamber and spends a lot of time introducing clients to help bring together great people who can help each other grow their businesses. Penny is a joy to all of the people who she works with. Her upbeat personality and endless desire to help the people she meets make her a great asset to her friends, her company, and the entire community. Penny and her husband Dan and are very proud of our three remarkable daughters who all graduated from Lake Mary High School and University of Florida: twins Maggie, a dentist, and Erin an epidemiologist, and the couple’s youngest daughter Danielle who is married and works for the accounting firm KPMG as a Risk advisory consultant.
