Wayne T. Hardy, CBA

Wayne Hardy is the Director of Small Business Services for Seminole State College, which is located in Sanford, Florida. As part of his duties he administers two incubator programs, the Central Florida Business Incubation Center and the Seminole Technology Business Incubation Center along with the Small Business Development Center.

Wayne has been with Seminole State College since 1996 when he was initially hired to direct the Small Business Development Center and Leadership Seminole. This represented a career change for Wayne in that he has owned and operated three different business entities in Central Florida. As a graduate of the University of Central Florida, Wayne gets to blend his academic training with over twenty years of hands on entrepreneurial experience in providing advice and counsel to incubator clients.

Mary Alice McCord, Ed.D., CBA

Mary Alice McCord is the Manager of the Seminole Advisory Board Council a program that matches Seminole County businesses with a volunteer advisory board for a year. This is service is provided at no cost to the business owner. The program is sponsored by Seminole County Government and Seminole Community College and is designed to help existing businesses grow to the next level.

Mary Alice is a Certified Business Analyst with the Florida Small Business Development Center Network at SCC. She has been a business owner and was Director of the Indianapolis Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at Indiana/Purdue University in Indianapolis. Prior to her time at the SBDC she was with the Division of Continuing Studies at Indiana/Purdue University in Ft. Wayne. She is also a former school library administrator and teacher. Mary Alice holds a B.S in Education, an M.S., Media Specialist Degree and a Doctorate in Adult Education.

The topic of their presentation will be how the programs offered by Seminole State's Small Business Services Department can be of assistance to your chamber members and how it contributes to economic growth and stability in county.
